Ann Brown
Community Host
Hello and welcome to the Honest Heart Community! My name is Ann Brown and I’m thrilled to be part of this growing community of adventure seekers, independent thinkers, and fun-loving women!
Currently, I’m a small business owner and "Prosperity Coach" (as my clients call me), with over 4 decades of diverse professional experience. For the past eight years, I have successfully owned and operated a retail franchise business in Asheville, NC. This ownership experience gave me the opportunity to be fiercely challenged, connect with amazing people, and prove to myself that I could take a failing business and turn it into a highly successful business, quickly!
Prior to stepping into business ownership, I served as a Resident Counselor at a private college for three years, supporting students as they navigated the sometimes challenging pathways of college life. My side gig at that time was writing web content for the Ritz-Carlton Leadership Center and Jumpsport Fitness. My conversations and interviews with professionals in the hospitality and fitness industries revealed fascinating stories and experiences for my readers to enjoy.
Before all that, in 1998, I hit the pause button on my professional career which led to getting married to my wonderful husband, Doug, and shortly thereafter, starting a family. During that time our family spent a unique chapter living in Baja, Mexico for four years with the majority of one of those years living aboard our 35' sailboat in the Sea of Cortez.
For 15 years before I met my husband, I had an exciting and successful career in the hospitality industry. My favorite position was that of Director of Sales and Marketing for Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts where I headed up multiple sales teams. That leadership role gave me the opportunity to cultivate client relations, develop effective sales techniques, travel extensively, and meet people in various businesses around the world.
As a Prosperity Coach I thoroughly enjoy working with my clients to help them ‘see what they can’t see,’ and give them the direction they need to allow them to live the life they truly want to live. There’s simply nothing more exciting and rewarding!
