No one warned me that becoming a woman would require grieving the girl I used to be.

Not the obvious milestones. Those came with celebrations. The wedding. The babies. The first home. The family photos hanging on the walls. The life I had dreamed of building.

As we gently emerge from Utah's river canyons and wash the silt from our skin, one question lingers:

What remains?

For me, it isn't just the breathtaking landscapes or the miles we floated together. It's something quieter.

It's the freedom that appeared when life became wonderfully simple.

What does it mean to question?

Why do we do it?

Why is it so important?

Take a moment to consider how utterly inundated we are every single day by forces—some obvious, others far more subtle—that compete fiercely for our attention and influence our thoughts.

Lately, I've been reminded of past lessons in trusting unfoldment. Like our very first Honest Heart Journeys trip to Baja in 2022—a brand-new concept that revealed rich connection, belonging, ease, and natural joy among a group of women. It also marked the beginning of healing journeys for several of us who continue to travel together, stay in touch, and support one another. That week changed our lives.
