Mary Sipe

Alaska Trip Host

Hi, I’m Mary. I’m so glad you’re here—and I look forward to sharing, and gently expanding, your sense of adventure, both outwardly in the world and inwardly in spirit.

My husband and I currently call Florida home, though thanks to his Navy career, our lives have been shaped by many landscapes across the U.S. We raised our two now-grown children through homeschooling, including a year-long RV journey through all 50 states—an experience that forever changed how I understand courage, adaptability, and trust. Much of that adventure unfolded while my husband was deployed, stretching my confidence and deepening my love for exploration. International travels to places like Israel, Greece, and the UK further awakened my curiosity and affirmed my belief that meaningful journeys shape who we are becoming.

Professionally, my path has long been rooted in supporting alternative homeschooling families, including owning and operating a homeschool resource center in Hawaii. Over the past decade, I’ve also been deeply involved with the DB NLC program, where I led and curated service-oriented journeys—both domestically and abroad—for high school students. These trips blended intentional travel with a thoughtful spiritual curriculum, inviting each participant to discover their own inner compass and sense of purpose.

Alaska holds a particularly sacred place in my heart. Its vast wilderness offers a rare invitation to widen perspective and deepen spiritual awareness through sheer majesty and raw beauty. From witnessing Denali and watching black bears in their natural rhythm, to kayaking through fjords, boating the Kenai Peninsula, or even ice climbing on a glacier, each experience calls forth presence, courage, and reflection. Time in this landscape has a way of quieting daily anxieties, restoring balance, and opening us to the infinite Love that fills all space.

I would be honored to journey alongside you.
