Honest Heart Community Guidelines

This is a place for soul-nourishing conversation, authentic connection, shared growth, and hope. Here, we hold space for one another with deep respect, curiosity, and compassion.
Whether we gather around a dinner table, on a desert trail, beside the sea, or in online conversation, we co-create spaces where each person can arrive fully as herself. It is less about rules and more about how we choose to walk alongside one another. These shared guidelines help protect the integrity, trust, and care of our community — in both one-on-one conversations and intimate circles.

NURTURE A CULTURE OF BELONGING

  • Avoid assumptions, stereotypes, cliquishness, or exclusionary language.

  • Honor diverse spirituality, philosophy and lived experiences.

  • Stay curious—especially when something challenges you.

We are more alike, my friends, than we are unalike. – Maya Angelou

HONOR YOUR OWN SPACE

  • Take responsibility for your experience; participate at your own pace.

  • Everything is by invitation, never expectation.

  • Share only what feels safe and true in the moment.

  • Protect your energy, privacy, and boundaries.

Solitude does not necessarily mean living apart from others; it means never living apart from one’s self.
 – Parker J. Palmer

HONOR ANOTHER’S SPACE

  • Listen deeply without fixing, saving, advising, or correcting.

  • Speak from personal experience—not assumptions or generalizations.

  • Trust that each story is sacred, confidential, and that person’s to tell.

  • If inspired to respond, ask: “May I offer something?”

We trust the inner teacher of each person. Our role is to create conditions that welcome the soul to show up.
– Parker J. Palmer

CONTRIBUTE WITH INTENTION & SELF-AWARENESS

  • Share your gifts generously, not for self-gain.

  • Offerings should be timely, relevant, and aligned with the space.

  • Use designated areas for sharing your work or events.

Tell the truth of your life. And trust it is enough. – Glennon Doyle

MAKE ROOM FOR SILENCE & DISCOVERY

  • Welcome silence as space for reflection and inner knowing.

  • Not every question needs an answer.

  • Ask open, honest questions that invite—not influence.

  • Come with humility to learn, not pressure to teach.

  • Make room for all voices to be heard.

There is a seed of truth in every soul. We gather not to fix, but to witness and water that seed.
– Anonymous (Circle practice)

PROTECT THE INTEGRITY OF THE CIRCLE

  • What’s shared here stays here—confidentiality is sacred.

  • Never forward or screenshot posts or private conversations.

  • Respect each woman’s boundaries and comfort levels.

  • When in doubt, turn to wonder.

  • If something troubles you, connect with your host moderators.

Kindness is the only service that will stand the storm of life and not wash out. – Abraham Lincoln

Honest Heart Host Approach

We believe you are already whole. Our role is not to teach you what to think, but to support your unfolding through presence, reflection, and care.
  • You already carry what you need to grow and thrive.

  • We do not follow or promote one doctrine—we invite open exploration.

  • We honor your personal connection with the Divine.

  • We celebrate your soul—your stories, your strength, your wisdom.

  • We are here to listen, not to lead—to witness the truth within you.

Within you there is a stillness and a sanctuary to which you can retreat at any time. – Hermann Hesse
