Marianne Scott
Trip Host - Vietnam
My name is Marianne and I’m a retired elementary teacher and high school college counselor — I’m always happy to lend a hand as a willing volunteer. I’m a wife and a mother to two adult daughters and a son, and I’m also a devoted “Mimi” to four wonderful grandchildren, aged 6, 4, 3, and 2.
In 2012, my husband Greg and I followed our adult children to Colorado after spending more than three decades in Southern California. We absolutely love the natural beauty here and the seemingly endless opportunities to hike, bike, and explore the outdoors.
My passion for travel began early, with annual family trips growing up. Later, with my own family, I planned summer vacations to places like Hawaii, Europe, and a guest ranch in Arizona. Our winter vacations were often focused on skiing.
Since retiring, Greg and I have traveled extensively around the world, enjoying adding new countries to our growing list of “places visited.” I love learning about new cultures, meeting new people, and discovering what I have in common with others, including my fellow travelers. Sharing my adventures with friends and encouraging them to explore the world is a true joy.
Travel provides me with ongoing education about the customs, food, history, politics, and creativity of others — all while helping me continuously discover new things about myself.
